The laparoscopic trocar is a surgical instrument used in minimally invasive procedures. It is designed to establish a channel between the abdominal cavity and the external environment, allowing surgical instruments to enter the abdominal cavity through the trocar sleeve while maintaining a secure seal for endoscopic surgeries that require pneumoperitoneum.
Type | Model | Sleeve Internal Diam(mm) | Sleeve Length(mm) |
Bladeless /Optical | AKYCCA-5 | 6 | 100 |
AKYCCA-10 | 11 | 100 | |
AKYCCA-12 | 13 | 100 | |
AKYCCA-15 | 16 | 101 | |
Bladed | AKYCCB-5 | 6 | 100 |
AKYCCB-10 | 11 | 100 | |
AKYCCB-12 | 13 | 100 |
There are three types of trocars available:
Bladeless trocar – Features a blunt tip to reduce tissue cutting, aligning with minimally invasive principles and improving sleeve stability during tissue retraction.
Bladed trocar – Equipped with a sharp blade and a safety mechanism to ensure efficient puncture while preventing injury to internal organs.
Optical trocar – Allows direct visualization of tissue during insertion, ensuring safe and accurate access to the abdominal cavity.
